To encourage interest in the field of Production and Operations Management in the region of Latin America and the Caribbean and foster the integration between the POM community of this region and the world POM community.

Provide a means of communication among people having interest in Production and Operations Management, who live in this region, among themselves and between them and the world POM community.

Provide an informal means of exchange about educational programs, research initiatives and opportunities within the region and between the region and the world POM community.

Provide informal and formal means of sharing information about current and emerging themes in Production and Operations Management which are relevant and appropriate for the region.

Present a forum of speakers who address Production and Operations Management topics which are particular or relevant for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Increase the presence of Latin American and the Caribbean POM academic and practitioners in the POMS membership.
